Some songs are born great. Some achieve greatness. Some have greatness obnoxiously and incorrectly declared upon them.

This is one of those songs that was born great. And this is still the best version.

    NOW you’re talking! Except that I prefer the 2010, live rendition:

    Gordon Mote’s piano accompaniment is just genius; he’s got such unbelievable musical taste, never playing one note more than necessary to create the perfect setting for whatever vocal stuff is happening. And the couple of small chord changes/adjustments someone made to the vocal arrangement in the last few harmonic progressions improve the dramatic ending, IMO.
