Fun! They work a great variety in there. I don’t think I’ve ever heard “Who is He in Yonder Stall” on a Christmas album and always thought of it as a bit dull, but they dress it up. “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem” is always a winner, though I don’t suppose anyone can do it better than the Martins, but I’m partial. Kim and “O Holy Night” on the piano are a natural match. Never heard that slightly jazzy “Glory to the Newborn King” song at the end before, but it looks like fun. Good mood music for the season!
Ah! You caught me. I went off to cook supper after posting that comment and was in the kitchen when I realized, “Drat! I confused ‘Beautiful Star’ with ‘When They Saw the Star’.” However, I didn’t get back to post my own correction in time.
I just bought the CD. It is wonderful. For me the #1 star moment is the duet between Brooklyn and Philip on Silent Night. Harmony just doesn’t get any better.

I don’t think the Martins have recorded “Beautiful Star,” although Charlotte Ritchie has been known to sing it.

You’re tempting me!
